IBILTA began as a conversation between faculty at block and intensive-based institutions in Australia, North America, and China. Despite the geographical distances, we discovered that our journeys in pedagogy, experience, discoveries, and issues were remarkably similar. As this conversation expanded, so did our desire to connect with others on the same path.

Our mission is to advance scholarship and practice in block and intensive-mode education, share and disseminate knowledge, and foster collaboration among our members, stakeholders, and alliance partners.
